so, how does this work? pretty easily. you 1) log in with your resy phone number 2) pick what restaurants you're trying to snatch up and 3) put in the times you'd be free to visit 4) we'll text you if you get a reservation note: not necessarily in that order
how do i tell this resy bot when to find reservations for? right now, this bot supports a "time slot" based search criteria. that means that (after selecting your party size) you'll enter the weekdays and hours of the day that you're available. e.g. fridays-sundays, 7-10pm
what restaurants can i search for? any restaurant that's on resy and within nyc is fair game if there's enough demand, i'm happy to look into opentable and other cities
do i need to do anything in my resy account for this to work? why yes, yes you do! how perceptive. right now you can only log in with your resy phone number, so make sure you have a phone attached to your resy account. additionally, it's critical that you have a payment method added to resy, as many restaurants require you put down a card i highly recommend privacy.com as you can set spending limits on virtual cards so you don't get charged accidentally
why can't i pick a specific date and time in the search criteria? it's on my roadmap to add that functionality. let me know if you really want that, it helps keep me motivated i don't have anything to add here, but every other bullet had a note so here we are
what about those restaurants that drop reservations at midnight and get booked instantly? right now, this site keeps an eye out on the people that bail on their reservations and then snatches up their reservation before anyone else can. however, bidding on those midnight drop reservations is definitely on my roadmap. you'll get a notification when its ready
